Product Description: Noise Reduction Rating - NRR 33 decibels (when used as directed)Noise Reduction Rating: 33 decibels (when used as directed). Conventional hearing protectors have a noise reduction rating ranging from approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers indicate greater effectiveness). Information required by the EPA: When wearing a hearing aid according to the guidelines, the noise level delivered to the human ear is approximately approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: The environmental noise level measured at the ear is 92 dBA. The NRR is 33 decibels (decibels). The noise level delivered to the ear is approximately equal to 92 decibels (A) to 59 decibels (A).
How to Use: With clean hands, slowly insert the plug into the wrinkle-free cylinder. Insert the plug into the ear canal while pressing it. Pulling the outer ear outward and upward as you insert it will make it easier to put on. Use your fingertips to hold the plug in place until it begins to expand.
Caution: Do not cut the earplugs. Close adult supervision is required when used by children. Inspect the plug before use and replace if it is damaged or shows signs of use. Do not use for long periods of time. For single-user use only. Infants and children should not put the earplugs in the windpipe, which may cause suffocation. If you experience pain or discomfort when using this product, stop using it. For environments where the frequency of the sound is below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper use of the device will reduce the noise reduction effect. Refer to the enclosed product manual for proper attachment. Although the use of earplugs is recommended to prevent damage from excessive noise, the noise reduction ratio (NRR) is based on continuous noise reduction and cannot completely block out non-continuous noises such as gunshots.
