This kit contains a tube of liquid Oyster mushroom mycelium ( Pleurotus ostreatus ), product under optimal sterility conditions. The mycelium is ready to be diluted in a solution of sugary water and used to inoculate various substrates.
Oysters grow on decomposing organic matter such as :
Coffee grounds
Pasteurized straw
Untreated wood shavings
Compost or structured green waste
Cardboard or hardwood saw
These saprophytic mushrooms do not require a symbiotic relationship with trees and can be cultivated year-round under controlled conditions.

Growing Instructions
Preparing the sugar water mixture :
Use mineral water to avoid contaminants like chlorine.
Add a glucose/fructose-based syrup without preservatives (15 ml of syrup for 15 ml of mycelium).
Incorporation of mycelium :
Shake the tube well to homogenize the contents, then mix with your sweetened water solution.
Incubation :
Leave the solution in a dark place with a stable temperature (minimum 20°C).
After 10 days, the mixture becomes cloudy and small filaments appear, indicating the development of the mycelium.
Substrate inoculation :
For indoor cultivation : Mix the mycelium with a moistened substrate and place it in well-ventilated bags or containers.
For outdoor cultivation : Insert the mycelium into holes drilled in logs or incorporate it into straw bales. Maintain the humidity and place it in a shady environment.
Fructification :
Change the environmental conditions to trigger fruiting :
Temperature reduced to 15-20°C.
Moderate indirect light.
High humidity (85-90 %, to be maintained with a humidifier or by spraying regularly).
Make slits in the bag to allow the mushrooms to grow.
Harvest :
Harvest the oyster mushrooms when their caps are well-formed.
A substrate bag can produce up to 3 mushroom cycles over a period of 2 to 3 months.
Seasonality and harvest
Inoculation : All year round indoors ; Spring or autumn for outdoor cultivation.
Expected fruiting : Oysters can produce several cycles of mushrooms over a period of 2 to 3 months, with prolonged production indoors.
