This tool can locate hidden studs behind walls. It's useful when installing curtain rails, shelves, picture frames, handrails, earthquake-resistant hardware, etc. (Measurable wall thickness: approximately 19mm)
It detects metal, wood, and plastic behind walls and alerts you with a light and electronic sound.
Detectable substrates: Wood and metal. *Cannot distinguish between wood and metal.
If the wall is thicker than 19mm, if you want to determine whether the underlying material is metal or not, or if you want to instantly locate the center of the underlying material, please consider a higher-end model.
Suitable wall materials: Plywood, gypsum board, reinforced gypsum board (※Not suitable for exterior walls or bathrooms)
The included battery is a test battery for checking operation; please use a new battery when you need to operate the device (Power supply: 1 x 9V alkaline battery *Please remove the plastic covering before use).
An arrow-shaped light and a buzzer sound will indicate the location of unseen studs behind the wall.
