This item is made using a genuine white snake's shed skin and laminated with precious 24K gold leaf from Kanazawa in two places. Because each piece is handmade, there may be slight variations in the placement of the gold leaf, but in a sense, it is a one-of-a-kind, transparent, and beautiful piece. At approximately 4cm x 5cm (shed skin) and 4.7cm x 5.7cm x 0.2cm overall, it's the perfect size to carry in a wallet.
Since ancient times, snakes have been favored as animals for bringing good fortune and financial luck. White snakes, in particular, are considered particularly auspicious, and we visit shrines dedicated to white snakes for prayers and offerings.
We receive shed white snake skins (corn snakes) from domestic breeders, wash them in detergent, iron them, and carefully reshape them.
Each shed skin is unique, with no two having the same pattern, shape, size, etc. and as it is a natural product it may be wrinkled or uneven, but by laminating it becomes a thin, clean product.
The size is suitable for carrying in a wallet, and as it is laminated it is resistant to water and dirt, making it a great gift for people of all ages, not just adults.
Young snakes shed their skin about once every two weeks and adult snakes about once every 1 to 5 months, and sometimes the skin does not shed cleanly (the skin may be torn, etc.), making it a valuable item.
