Product Introduction
IBG "1/35 Scale Polish 7TP Light Tank, 37mm Gun, Early Model" Plastic Model Kit.
This main battle tank was independently improved by Poland, which acquired the license to produce the Vickers 6t tank in 1931.
The engine was changed from an air-cooled, horizontally opposed, four-cylinder engine to a liquid-cooled, upright six-cylinder engine, resulting in a larger engine compartment, including radiator space, that was flush with the fighting compartment.
The armor was also strengthened, and the suspension was accordingly strengthened.
Production began in 1934, initially featuring a twin-turret design with two machine gun turrets, similar to the Vickers 6t.
From 1937, a single-turret design equipped with a vehicle-mounted 37mm Bofors gun was produced.
By the 1939 campaign, approximately 100 7TP single-turret models had been produced, making them the most powerful main battle tank.
The early production model featured a large grille on the rear hatch, similar to the two-turret model, with the exhaust pipes located on the bottom.
