Product Introduction
IBG "1/72 Polish Mil Mi-17 Helicopter" plastic model kit.
The Mi-17 is a medium-lift utility helicopter designed by the M.L. Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant in the Soviet Union.
Domestically, it was designated the Mi-8MT, while export versions were called the Mi-17.
In 1981, the Mi-8MT was exhibited for the first time at the Paris Air Show held at Le Bourget Airport in Paris, France.
In the brochure for this event, the Mi-8MT was given the new name Mi-17 for international markets.
The new name was chosen for commercial reasons.
A variant of the Mi-17, developed with the same equipment as the Mi-8P, a derivative of the Mi-8T supplied to the Soviet Union as a passenger aircraft, was designated the Mi-17P.
In addition to this, numerous variants of the Mi-17 were proposed or produced for international markets.
The Mi-17 was adopted by the militaries of 10 countries around the world.
This kit is manufactured by Hobby Boss.
Includes seven Polish military markings and 3D-printed parts (rotor dampers, flare dispensers, main landing gear with covers, weapon pylons, and various antennas).
