Product Introduction
This classic grill pan is crafted from a single sheet of iron. Founded in 1857 by skilled blacksmith Albert-Karl Turk, Turk has maintained its tradition of crafting its grills using the same techniques for over 150 years.
Turk grill pans are forged by heating a block of iron to high temperatures, and are an original Zakka Works product with dual-handed grips. They can be used for oven-baked dishes like gratins and roasted meats, as well as for juicy dishes like sukiyaki.
Compared to Teflon-coated grills, Turk offers excellent heat conductivity and heat retention, bringing out the full flavor of your ingredients. They are also strong and durable, with no deterioration even after being pre-baked. The more you use them, the better they will cook, improving your cooking experience and enhancing their texture.
Pre-conditioning is easy. First, lightly wash the grill pan with detergent, then spread oil evenly over the pan and fry it with potato, carrot, or other vegetable scraps and a teaspoon of salt. The seasoning is complete when the vegetables are cooked through and the bottom of the grill pan begins to darken.
As this product is handmade, the dimensions may vary from the stated size.

● This seamless, one-piece frying pan is forged from a block of iron (pig iron) through repeated heating at high temperatures. It's perfect for simple grilling, bringing out the natural flavor of ingredients like meat, fish, vegetables, and pancakes.
● Master blacksmith Albert-Karl Turk founded Turk in 1857. Located in the mining district of the Ruhr, Germany's iron manufacturing center, Turk continues to craft classic frying pans with generations of skilled artisans. Forged from red-hot pig iron and hammered repeatedly, these durable, one-piece frying pans can be used for generations with proper care. Their excellent heat circulation and heat retention allow for slow, steady cooking while bringing out the full flavor of your ingredients. This pan retains the heat and evaporates moisture well, allowing you to cook thick cuts of meat for a crispy exterior and juicy steaks that retain their juices. It also keeps vegetables crisp and crunchy, and evenly browns omelets, pancakes, and toast. Each frying pan is individually forged by artisans, giving it a rugged, rough appearance, but it gradually becomes more supple with use, and the iron surface develops a lustrous sheen, enhancing its rich flavor.
● This original Japanese grill pan features a deep, forged iron plate with grips on both sides. It can be used for oven dishes like gratins and roasted meats, as well as dishes with liquids like sukiyaki.
