It significantly reduces color cast caused by polarizing films compared to previous models. It also minimizes the density unevenness typical of variable ND filters, making it easier to use with wide-angle lenses. ND32 to ND512 Adjustment Range: The ND32 to ND512 adjustment range is approximately 5 to 9 stops, providing the same effect as five commercially available ND filters (ND32, ND64, ND128, ND256, ND512) and the effect of a circular polarizing filter (only when using Magnetic Mode). This variable ND filter is suitable for a variety of scenes, from daytime video and landscape photography where you want to keep the shutter speed low to portraits where you want to open the aperture. Two attachment/detachment methods: Screw it directly onto the lens without an adapter ring in screw-in mode, in which case it functions as an ND32-500 variable ND filter. Attach the included magnetic lens adapter [ELA] to the lens and you can instantly attach, detach, and swap it out in magnetic mode, where it functions as a variable ND + CPL. [Operation] Magnetic mode: Turn the center knob to adjust the reflected light from the PL filter, and turn the tip frame to adjust the ND density. Screw-in mode: Turn the tip frame to adjust the ND density. The adjustment knob is fixed, so it cannot be used with a bayonet-type lens hood. [Excellent Maintenance and Compatibility] The Nano coating provides water-repellent, stain-resistant, anti-static, and scratch-resistant properties, making it easy to maintain and extending the life of your filters. It also supports stacking with conventional magnetic filters. While it can be attached to the adapter ring/step ring [MA], we recommend using the specially designed [ELA] adapter ring for smoother rotation. The H&Y HD Evo-series Natural Color ND32-512+CPL Filter Kit (filter + magnetic adapter ring set) combines a variable ND (5-9 stops of light reduction) and CPL filter with two attachment methods: magnetic mode (magnetic attachment) and screw mode (traditional screw-in). Compared to conventional filters, it significantly reduces color cast caused by polarizing films. It also minimizes the density unevenness typical of variable ND filters, making it easier to use with wide-angle lenses. When screwed directly onto a lens without an adapter ring, it functions as an ND32-512 variable ND filter in screw-in mode. When the included magnetic lens adapter [ELA] is attached to a lens, it can be quickly attached, detached, and replaced in magnetic mode, functioning as a variable ND + CPL filter. The adjustment knob is fixed, so it cannot be used with a bayonet-type lens hood.
