Beware of imitations: We have received complaints from customers who have mistakenly purchased products using the Towel Laboratory image to develop a series. Please make sure to check the name Towel Laboratory before purchasing.
[Quick-drying ≠ Thinness] Until now, towels that required absorbency and quick-drying properties typically had to be made with polyester, which has a unique clingy feel, or be thin, meaning that high absorbency and quick-drying properties could not be achieved without sacrificing something. Therefore, we at the Towel Research Institute aimed to improve upon the original technology of towels, and wanted to provide consumers with towels that are absorbent and quick-drying while maintaining the soft texture of a towel. This led to the development of the [Speed Dry 3D] #009 series, which sets us apart from conventional products.
[Quick-drying yet fluffy and voluminous] To achieve a soft feel and volume, we utilized our advanced technological capabilities and, in collaboration with Toray, developed a special composite spun yarn called "3D yarn" by wrapping cotton around a polyester core. By using this 3D structured yarn, we were able to overcome a high hurdle. This yarn's fluffy, raised pile structure achieves a volume not found in conventional quick-drying towels, while the area that directly touches the skin retains the soft, fluffy feel of cotton. Furthermore, towels made with this yarn retain their fuzz even after repeated washing, allowing you to enjoy their gentle texture for years to come.
[Benefits of Volume and Quick Drying] The polyester core thread allows for incredibly fast drying. Its drying time is an astonishing two-thirds of that of conventional 100% cotton towels. It's also recommended for drying indoors during the rainy season and winter, when laundry tends to be slow to dry, or when pollen and yellow dust are a concern. Furthermore, when using a dryer, it reduces electricity consumption by approximately 30%, making it an environmentally friendly towel for your home.
[Japan Technology] Towel Laboratory products are manufactured in Japan by Japanese engineers, at carefully selected overseas factories with the most advanced manufacturing technology and production efficiency. Although they are not made in Japan, but in China, they are manufactured under the technical guidance of Japanese engineers.
