The basic style tote bag is now available in mini size! Designed with use in the workplace in mind. A mini tote for storing tools, measuring instruments, writing utensils, etc. used in the field. By using it together with the tall tote bag from our brand [Iwafune Hanpu], it can also be used as a bag-in-bag to manage small items separately from the binder that holds materials. Since it is made of thick canvas with elasticity, it can stand on its own without putting anything in it.
This design, in which the sides (bottom gusset) of the bag are folded into a boat-shape (triangle), is made of multiple layers of canvas, making it difficult for a typical industrial sewing machine to pass the needle through, and there are very few factories in Japan that can sew with this design.
The canvas is made of domestically produced Fuji Kinbai 24oz = No. 4 canvas, and the handle and bottom are made of No. 8 canvas. This canvas is resistant to abrasions and scratches, and has a fluffy and voluminous feel. The factory brand [Iwafune Canvas] uses a special sewing machine to sew powerfully and carefully.
The bag maintains its shape, making it easy to see where things are and quickly retrieve them. For this reason, we purposely did not create any partitions and designed it so that many items could fit comfortably inside.

A mini-sized tote bag carefully sewn by Japanese craftsmen. We use Fuji Kinbai No. 4, a domestic canvas fabric. Because it is made of thick and sturdy canvas fabric, it will not lose its shape when placed on its own and will stand on its own. A tote bag with this design cannot be sewn with a regular sewing machine, so a special sewing machine is used to sew it with great force. Although it is simple, it is a unique tote bag that gives you a sense of luxury when you pick it up. Fuji Kinbai is a canvas that is woven over time using a high-density selvedge (selvedge) canvas standard on an old shuttle loom that is rare in Japan. It is characterized by the fact that the threads do not fray, and while it is strong, it has a natural texture with a fluffy and voluminous feel.
