This is a cutaway model of the flight deck and part of the side of a Japanese Navy aircraft carrier, and is a diorama base large enough to display one or two 1/144 scale carrier-based aircraft.
The flight deck features wooden deck boards, eyelets, and drainage gutters carved using laser processing, and the non-slip surface is reproduced in a convex shape.
A Type 96 25mm triple machine gun and a retractable radio mast are placed on the side of the ship, creating a three-dimensional mini diorama.
The design model is based on the rear port side of the Hiryu, but it can also be enjoyed as a model for other aircraft carriers.
The hull is a laser-cut papercraft, but it is made from thick, high-density paper, so it is very strong after assembly.
In addition, the parts that join together have tenons and positioning holes, making assembly easy and accurate.
There may be soot on the laser cut parts, so if this happens, please clean them off before reassembling.
The Type 96 25mm triple machine gun is made using a 3D printer.
These are 3D printed models produced by a 3D printing company and there are some layer marks on the surface.
Before painting/assembly, degrease and clean with a neutral detergent. An ultrasonic cleaner is recommended.
Some of the sample photos show aircraft and cases as diorama examples, but please note that the aircraft and cases are not included.
*Separate adhesives, tools, etc. are required for assembly. Plastic model paint can be used for painting. *Please note that this is not a finished product.
