Consequences of damaged ball head dust cover:
If the ball head dust cover is cracked, torn or damaged due to aging, high temperature, or impact, it will cause a series of problems:
Accelerated wear: When contaminants enter and grease leaks, the ball head will wear out quickly and create gaps.
Abnormal noise: When the vehicle passes over bumpy roads or turns, the chassis will make a metallic knocking sound of "clunking" or "clicking".

1. Dust-proof and anti-fouling This is the main function. The inside of the ball stud is filled with grease and needs to be kept clean. As a physical barrier, the dust cover can effectively block the entry of hard pollutants such as dust, soil, sand, and salt particles from the outside. If these impurities enter, they will act like abrasives and accelerate the wear of the ball head and bowl.
2. Keep it lubricated The dust cover seals the special high-temperature and high-pressure grease inside the ball head to prevent it from being lost due to high temperature, long-term use or leakage. Adequate lubrication is the key to ensuring smooth rotation of the ball head.
3.Prevent moisture and corrosion It can prevent rainwater, road water and car wash water from entering the inside of the ball joint and prevent rust and corrosion on the surface of the steel ball joint and ball bowl of the ball joint pin. Rust will cause rotational jamming, affect steering feel, and even cause the ball head to jam.
