AUTOart 1/18 scale composite die-cast model.
The Porsche 918 Spyder, a hypercar following in the footsteps of the 959 and Carrera GT, is a next-generation super sports car designed with the latest technology from Porsche, inspired by the historic 917.
Since 2013, only 918 units have been produced worldwide, priced at approximately 100 million yen.
The lightweight body features a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque and is fitted with a racing-based 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 600 PS on its own.
A plug-in hybrid system with two additional motors produces a total system output of an incredible 880 PS. Despite its incredible power output, the car also achieves fuel economy of 34 km/h in hybrid mode, on par with eco-cars.
The high-performance "Weissach Package" version, featuring carbon fiber aerodynamic parts and magnesium wheels, achieved a weight reduction of 40 kg, achieving a 0-100 km/h time of 2.6 seconds, a 0-300 km/h time of 19.9 seconds, and a top speed of 345 km/h. In September 2013, it achieved a lap time of 6 minutes 57 seconds on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the fastest time at the time for a road car.

The "AUTOART Composite Diecast Model" uses a proprietary blend of ABS for the body and die-cast for the inner body.
This "completely new" and innovative model car maximizes the benefits of each material, achieving high rigidity and a sense of weight comparable to die-cast models. It also reproduces strikingly realistic, sharp body lines and allows for more precise alignment and opening/closing than die-cast bodies.
