A fate of destruction or a future of hope?
As the player, you meet Prince Chrom of the Holy Kingdom of Yris, and as the strategist of his vigilante group, you will be thrown into a battle for the fate of the world.
This role-playing simulation features a story of growing together through encounters with numerous allies, as well as strategic elements in which you use allies with different characteristics to turn the tide of battle.
You are the other protagonist.
Your "My Unit," your avatar, whose appearance and other attributes can be freely customized, appears as the other protagonist.
Not only will your unit serve as a strategist commanding your troops, but they will also play an active role as soldiers, deeply involved in the story.
Command your allies and advance across the battlefield.
Move your allied soldiers across the grid-based battlefield, unfolding the battlefield and aiming to achieve map-specific conditions, such as annihilating all enemy soldiers and defeating enemy generals.
Command your troops while taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of the terrain, the characteristics of each soldier type, and the compatibility of their weapons, and advance the battle to your advantage.
New feature: Dual System.
Allies adjacent to each other on the battlefield will join the battle together.
Allies' support will temporarily boost their abilities, and they will also support you in battle by blocking enemy attacks and launching additional attacks.
The relative positions of allies are also an important strategic factor.
Bonds with your allies deepen in battle.
Allies gain experience and grow into a reliable fighting force.
Fighting together will also foster bonds between allies.
Bonds between allies will have a positive impact in battle.
Of course, the player's avatar, their own Unit, will also interact directly with their allies, and they will weave the story together.
A world expanded by communication elements.
The game also features a rich set of communication features, including "Dual Tag," where you can team up with other players via local communication; "StreetPass My Unit," where other players' units arrive; and the distribution of Gaiden maps via SpotPass.
