The TRUEGRIP Pro series features a Tech Defender guard. This new guard protects against moisture and earwax, two of earphones' biggest enemies. Foreign objects entering the earphone's sound port can lead to poor sound quality and even malfunction. The new Comply urethane has a smoother surface than the previous urethane, and the manufacturing process has been improved. Furthermore, supply of the new product is more stable and flexible. The new Comply urethane is 30 times softer than silicone and meets the US Department of Defense's sound insulation requirements. It also softens with body heat, expanding and contracting with the movement of the ear canal to maintain a tight seal.
