[Froebel Gift Series] Gift is a general term for a series of educational toys that Friedrich Froebel (1782-1852), the founder of kindergartens, devised as children's first toys. [What is the first gift?] As the first plaything that children encounter, Froebel thought it most appropriate to give Mari, which is the basis of form, as an educational plaything for infants all the way to toddlers. Therefore, as the first play toy for young children, we selected soft mali as the basic shape and colored it in six colors of the rainbow to create a set. This is the "first gift." The surface of each 6cm diameter mari is gently wrapped in carefully woven wool. Mari has a woolen string attached to it that is just the right length to hold in your hand and play with. The ``first gift'' should serve as the foundation for subsequent gifts. This is a product with a long history that has been used at home and in kindergartens to create a fundamental foundation for learning that will lead to the more complex "Second Gift" and "Third Gift."
[How to play (example)] Infants: Hang them on the bed and rock them to encourage interest in moving objects. ⇒ Eventually, you will be able to reach out and grab it yourself. Around 2 to 4 years old ⇒ Through imitation play and active play such as swinging and spinning up, down, left and right, children learn about the power hidden in the ball. Around 4 to 6 years old ⇒ Children play with objects such as living things and swings, and apply colors and numbers to games. *This is just an example of how to play. Although it is a simple mari with only 6 colors, it can be used in many ways. *Please be sure to have an adult play with your child.
