Production/Manufacturing Process The raw material, roasted brown rice, is roasted using the residual heat of a charcoal kiln. The far infrared rays poured from all directions of the kiln bring out the aroma and deep richness of roasted brown rice. The brown rice used as raw materials and the energy source are locally produced, making it an extremely environmentally friendly manufacturing method. Charcoal burning of thinned wood also helps to improve the satoyama and enriches the soil by returning the charcoal to the soil.
Suminou Kaueno, a charcoal farmer in the marginal village of Nobushina, uses traditional charcoal-grilling techniques to roast home-grown brown rice using far-infrared rays from a kiln. You can drink it as brown rice coffee or use it as an ingredient in sweets and lattes. It is the ultimate ecological production method, as it is roasted using the residual heat of a charcoal grill, so there is no CO2 emissions during the production process, and since it is home-grown brown rice, there is zero food mileage. We are a certified organic JAS processed food business.
