This model is an homage to the world's first personal calculator "Casio Mini" released by Casio in 1972. The color and design of "Casio Mini" has been incorporated into the CALCULATOR style long-selling model "CA-53". The liquid crystal uses an inverted type with a green display. The numeric keypad uses the same font as back then, and each key is separated by a grid line. Furthermore, the mode notation in the upper right corner is colored red to resemble a power lamp. White lines are placed on the top and bottom of the face, giving it a retro-modern feel.
