[Marishiten] Translated as Marishi, Suerishi, Suerishi, or Marishi, she is also called Suerishiten Bodhisattva and Suerishidev. Marishi is translated into Chinese as heat haze or majesty, and this goddess is called Marishiten, as heat haze is deified or compared to the elusive nature of heat haze. She is also called the child of Brahma or the wife of Sun Goddess, and was worshipped by the people of India as a god who hides herself well, removes evil deeds and disasters, and increases profits. Marishiten was originally a two-armed goddess, but she has sometimes been made into a male goddess. She is also depicted as three-faced, six-armed, or three-faced, eight-armed, riding on the moon and a wild boar. Marishiten appeared to protect all living beings suffering in danger in the evil age with great compassion and to bring them comfort, and it is said that her greatest merit is invisibility. It is said that if one thinks of Marishiten, he or she will be able to quickly achieve what one desires without being seen or known by others, without being captured or harmed, without being deceived or punished.
