AUTOart 1/18 scale composite die-cast model.
The late-model Honda NSX-R, commonly known as the "02R," was released in 2002 and features an all-aluminum monocoque body and a 3.2-liter V6 VTEC engine, developed using racing engine assembly techniques. Thorough weight reduction achieved through the use of carbon fiber materials, thin glass, and the elimination of soundproofing materials, resulting in a weight reduction of 70 kg compared to the standard NSX.
Aerodynamic performance was also pursued, with the addition of a front undercover and rear diffuser, resulting in the first negative lift for a production vehicle.
AUTOart has realistically recreated the symbol of Honda's racing spirit.
Faithfully reproduced are the ducted carbon fiber hood, large carbon fiber rear spoiler, specially developed tires and wheels, and the late-model's distinctive three-dimensional fixed headlights, as well as the Recaro carbon fiber full bucket seats in the interior, the MOMO steering wheel and titanium shift knob, and the special serial number plates on the side sills.
