This is a precision plastic assembly kit of the Space Shuttle Orbiter. Its 1/100 scale dimensions, total length 372.5mm, and width 238mm, were carefully crafted in collaboration with Rockwell International. The distinctive design has been accurately recreated. Markings are available to recreate the latest appearances of the operational Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour spacecraft since around 2000, including the nose heat-resistant tiles and cockpit windows. The flight deck interior, main engine, and landing gear are also meticulously finished. A detachable Spacelab (space laboratory) is included in the cargo bay in the center of the fuselage. The cargo bay hatch can be opened and closed. The reflector on the underside of the cargo bay hatch is made of plated parts. The rudder, which also functions as an air brake, is articulated like the real thing. The main engine nozzles can also be rotated. A display stand is also included. Choose between flight and landing positions. Includes two realistic astronaut figures.
